Ingredients for Homemade pizza
- 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Pizza sauce
- Mozzarella cheese (shredded)
- Toppings of your choice (e.g., pepperoni, bell peppers, mushrooms, onions)
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water and let it sit for 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
- Pour the yeast mixture and olive oil into the flour mixture. Stir until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough ball in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-2 hours until it doubles in size.
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone or a baking sheet in the oven while it heats up.
- Punch down the risen dough and roll it out into a circle or desired shape on parchment paper.
- Spread pizza sauce over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce and add your favorite toppings.
- Carefully transfer the pizza (on the parchment paper) onto the preheated pizza stone or baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and melted.
- Remove the pizza from the oven, let it cool for a minute, slice, and enjoy your homemade pizza!
